Smarty-Pants Book Club

Monday, April 21:00—2:00 PMCommunity Room Sherborn Library at the Sherborn Community Center3 Sanger St. , Sherborn , MA, 01770

This has been rescheduled from 3/22.

Jane Austen's last novel, Persuasion is the crowning achievement of her matchless career.  It is widely regarded as the most moving and delightful of all her novels.

It is a story of second chances.  When Anne Elliot was nineteen, she fell in love with and was engaged to the fearless and headstrong Captain Wentworth. But the young man had no fortune, and Anne allowed herself to be persuaded, against her profoundest instinct, to give him up. Now, at twenty-seven, and believing that she has lost her bloom, Anne is startled to learn that Captain Wentworth has returned to the neighborhood, a rich man and still unwed.

Join Dr. Kellie Donovan-Condron, professor of  literature at Babson College for this "Smarty-pants" discussion of Persuasion.

Multiple copies of the book are available at the Library.

Registration for this event has now closed.
