This session will introduce children to the amazing, fun, and free Scratch coding platform developed at MIT. Children will learn about Scratch and work on a sample project. By the end of the session, children will have a personal project that they can keep and continue to work on from home or anywhere they have internet access. Children with prior experience can explore advanced features available in the coding platform. An information sheet is provided for parents so they can help their young coding wizards make a free Scratch account at home and find online tutorials and projects for their children. This program is recommended for children ages 7 -10.
