Love Your Body: Disordered Eating Awareness Panel (HYBRID)

Join us for a parenting panel that will spread awareness about disordered eating. The panel includes three local pediatricians and clinical psychologists with backgrounds in treating kids and teens with eating disorders. They will cover: what eating disorders are, who they impact, how to spot warning signs, common misconceptions, impacts of social media, how to get help, support those you love, how to model positive body image and more. Panel will be followed by a Q&A.
About the Panelist:
Dr. Alexy Arauz Boudreau is a member at the Massachusetts General Hospital Division of General Pediatrics and practices as a primary care pediatrician at MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School Public Health. She has completed the Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship and the Mongan Commonwealth Fund/Harvard University Fellowship in Minority Health Policy. Dr. Arauz Boudreau is an academic community pediatrician focused on improving the health of vulnerable populations through primary care re-design, research, and community initiatives. She has implemented population health management programs with interdisciplinary teams to address childhood asthma, weight management and promoting early childhood resilience.
Dr. Mary Ellen Crowley is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with faculty appointments at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with Honors in Psychology from Bucknell University. She completed her Masters and Doctoral degrees at Ohio University. Dr. Crowley completed her pre and post-doctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. She has 25 years of experience in private practice treating teens, adults and families in group and individual psychotherapy as well as consultation. Dr. Crowley has taught psychology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. She is currently the Senior Eating Disorders Consultant for the Pavilion Program at McLean Hospital. In addition, Dr. Crowley was the former Clinical Coordinator of McLean's Adult Eating Disorders Speciality Track housed within the Behavioral Health Partial Program. Dr. Crowley presents and lectures at professional conferences, universities and secondary schools. She is involved in publishing research related to eating disorders as well as training and supervision. Dr. Crowley has been a media consultant on the topic of eating disorders for Marie Claire magazine and WBZ News, Boston. She is a member of both The Academy of Eating Disorders and the Massachusetts Multiservice Eating Disorders Association.
Dr. Emily Gordon is a licensed clinical psychologist located in Natick, MA. She has been in private practice for 20+ years. Dr. Gordon attended Northwestern University and then completed Masters and Doctoral degrees at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She was a post-doctoral fellow at McLean Hospital in Child & Adolescent Psychology, and then stayed on at McLean in leadership positions in the Adolescent Residential Treatment Program and at the Klarman Center for Eating Disorders. While at McLean, Dr. Gordon held an appointment at Harvard Medical School for 15 years and supervised psychology and social work trainees in several programs. Dr. Gordon currently provides assessment, treatment, consultation and supervision from her Natick, MA office. She is also licensed in CT, VT and FL. Dr. Gordon has been a frequent podcast guest and is an accomplished speaker for groups of parents and adolescent providers.
